I have the good fortune to live in Chicago where custom tailors abound… however, there is no one on Michigan Avenue, in New York or in Los Angeles who begins to compare with the elegance, brilliance and unmatched style provided by Lee’s custom tailoring. I’m so proud to call Jin a friend.

I’m delighted that over the years, so many figures I’ve worked with in sports and business have discovered the magnificent suits and furnishings that Jin provides. THE LOYALTY OF JIN’S CUSTOMERS IS UNMATCHED.’

For example, recently at the United Center in Chicago, I ran into Billy Knight, the ex-Pacer, and current general manager of the Atlanta Hawks. Naturally, you’d think we spent 45 minutes talking trade rumors, player moves, the draft and other NBA related topics.

Guess again. No kidding… Billy and I sat and compared notes about the Jin Lee suits we were both wearing. ’Smooth’ was knocked out by the contour of my suits from shoulder to foot and how Jin was able to take a full bodied guy like myself and create the kind of angular look that someone who weighs 270 pounds absolutely craves. I’ve always maintained that Jin’s greatest gift is his recognition of translating what people say they want into what they truly want. I told Billy that the three-piece suit he was wearing reminded me of when he was a silky smooth 215 pound small forward playing for 'Slick' Leonard. In other words, he had the ‘ultra power’ look that a man in his position is required to have.

I could tell stories for hours about Jin’s global reputation as one of less than 300 ‘master tailors. I could tell you the kick I get when Lee’s suits arrive at my home up north. But, there’s no need. I appreciate affordable quality. I appreciate 24 carat gold service. But, most of all, I appreciate Jin Lee — the man, the tailor, the master. The man who takes 270 pounds of aged beef and creates a dressed statement of confidence and readiness.

You know what… Jin is to suits what Mickey Mantle was to baseball. Quite simply, the consummate pro’s pro.

I wanted to write and thank you for your years of providing me the very best custom clothes. I have had the good fortune to wear custom clothes for several years. While all of these clothes are certainly of a much better fit and craftsmanship than store bought, I quickly learned that a Jin Lee product is different. Your attention to all of the details (pick stitching, pen pockets, angle of pockets, etc) is noticeable in the final product – both in the way the product fits and feels. I must admit I overlooked many of theses small nuances for years, but I’ve been educated by the very best.

The other benefit in having you tailor my clothes is working with you personally. You spend the needed time when reviewing material and colors with me and your insight is always helpful. It is reassuring to know when it comes time to purchase new clothes – all I need to do is come see you – decide the material and boom(!), two to three weeks later – I have customized clothes – that I have learned is guaranteed to fit – the first time.

The biggest compliment I can give you is that whenever I have a new suit made, and I see my colleagues, the question is always asked, “Have you lost weight?” And, of course, I say “yes!” What they do not know is that because of your attention to detail, years of knowledge and know how – you simply make me look better.

Again, I would just like to thank you for making me a shirt that resembles the “Edwardian Era” or the “Progressive Era” This time period was from the 1890′s to World War I. During that time frame a unique style for men was popular – detachable shirt collars. A lot of the pictures I have seen from this time frame show men wearing very high stiff collars. The collars were usually made of celluloid. Celluloid collars disappeared after World War I. To me they have a distinctive look. I searched and searched tailor after tailor to see if any one of them could make a shirt that would have that unique look. None of them would make me what I wanted. Not MASTERTAILOR. I showed Jin pictures and ads from the early 1900′s and he was able to make me what I wanted. I cannot say how much talent Jin Lee truly has. NOT KIDDING. No one that I know of has a shirt like mine. The collar is made of linen and is very comfortable. Between 1 to 5 stars I would give him 5 stars. With 5 being the best. Jin was always friendly and understood what I was talking about. The shirt Jin made for me is very classy, proper and formal. It looks exactly like that bygone era.

Dear Jin Lee,

I just wanted to let you know personally, how much I appreciate your tailoring services. Your expertise continues to amaze me on how well clothing items fit after your alteration department finishes with them. I will declare that no other tailor can duplicate what you do. This includes large international department stores which I always send to you. Furthermore, I recommended a good minister and author friend, Morton Bustard a few years ago. As you know, Morton is a very difficult fit being a 48 chest, and about 33 in the waist. Prior to his dealing you, he had to go with off-the-rack suits, that were ridiculously big, and having to re-cut them. They never did actually fit or look proper. Additionally, he would end up with having to spend more into those suits,than your custom tailored suits cost. Obviously, his suits now look impeccable on him, even though his dimensions are so drastic. I know firsthand that Morton is a VERY satisfied customer.

After having begun a weight loss program, a good friend had recommended Mr. Lee at Lee’s Custom Tailoring when I needed to have some suits, sports jackets and slacks altered. When I met Mr. Lee, he noted the items would have to be completely recut, not merely altered, to make the clothes fit properly. The jackets were not cut properly through the shoulders. In all, I had about 20 suits and sports jackets recut by Mr. Lee after I had lost about 25 pounds.

Later, after having dropped another 25 pounds – for a total 50 pound loss, I once again took these clothes in to be altered. The clothes fit well and look very good. He made other suggestions to make sure the final look and fit were perfect.

Mr. Lee’s workmanship was so good, in fact, that I had him make a custom suit and shirts that fit very well and look great. I highly recommend Mr. Lee to anyone needing to have clothes altered; or for anyone needing a custom suit. The suit he made for me is the best looking suit I have ever owned, and I have purchased suits from fine men’s wear stores in the past.

My wife and I searched long and hard for just the right suit for our wedding in the Amalfi Coast. We would find the color but not the style, the style but not the fabric and then find the right suit but it was built poorly. We came to Mr. Lee and searched hundreds of fabrics and let him provide all the styling of the suit. Our Italian friends and family that came with us were impressed with the fit and the quality. It was the perfect weight fabric for where we went and it had to be for the event lasted all day and into the night.

Dear Mr. Lee,

Many years ago I had custom suits made by a friend near where I lived in the City of Chicago. The suits have always fit well and I have gotten compliments when wearing them. In recent years I have bought designer suits like Armani, Canali, Zegna to name a few and thought I looked great. Needless to say it was a sad day when I came in for alterations only to find these very expensive suits looked like rags on me. After an initial fitting I came back in for a second fitting to ensure the alterations where on target. Even though not complete I can already see a dramatic difference in these suits, they now look as they where intended an enhancement to my body.
