Lee's Custom Tailoring - Suit Making Process

Step 1:  Initial Consulation

Customer chooses fabric of choice and communicates the style wanted. The more detail the better. Customer can choose lapels, pocket style, number of buttons, center or side vents, etc... If customer brings in a picture of a suit they like, it is much appreciated. Then we will take measurements of customer and store the measurements in our database.

Step 3:  First Fitting

Customer will receive a phone call or email in about 1 week from the first fitting. At the first fitting, the customer will try on the dummy mock suit we created. We will take pictures from many different angles. Then we will make any necessary adjustments to the customer's pattern. We will also ask customer for input on how the dummy mock try-on suit feels. Communication between the tailor and customer is very crucial!!! The more we know what a customer wants, the better we can make for the customer. 

Step 2:  Create Pattern

We will create, design, chalk and cut the pattern. We will use the pattern to create a mock try-on suit. 

Step 4:  Second/Final Fitting

We will use the final pattern to use for the final suiting fabric. After completing the final suit, which will be in about 4-6 weeks (if customer needs sooner please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate), we will call or email the customer to come in and try on the completed suit. If necessary, we will make any adjustments necessary. Adjustments are completed and will be ready for pick up within a week.
